About Dusk Productions
Dusk Productions is a York based theatre company founded in 2004 by Tom Cantrell, Michael Lightfoot and Kate Lovell.
The company was set up to promote new writing by its members with shows to be performed in central locations for the public. At the present time, the members of Dusk are unpaid with all proceeds from the shows going back into the company to fund future projects.
Dusk Productions consists of the following people:
Tom Cantrell
Tom graduated from Cambridge University in 2004. His acting credits include Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Professor in The Lesson, Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew, Gasparo in The White Devil, Ted in The Erpingham Camp, Orsino in Twelfth Night, Peter in The Zoo Story, Chorus in Antigone, Curio in Twelfth Night. He has also acted with the National Youth Theatre and has written sketches with the Cambridge Footlights.
Michael Lightfoot
Michael is studying towards an English degree with the Open University. He has appeared as Klondike in Simon Armitage's Eclipse, Guildernstern in Rosencrantz and Guildernstern are Dead, Richard in Richard III and Jerry in The Zoo Story. He has worked on the York Mystery plays and has appeared at the Theatre Royal in York in Henry VI and Macbeth.
Kate Lovell
Kate graduated from York University in 2006. She has worked as director on: Possibly Ian Mckellen, Second Bounce, Return of the Actor and Loot by Joe Orton. As an actor: Alice in Vinegar Tom, Putana in Tis Pity She's a Whore, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire, Aaranow in Glengarry Glen Ross, Aggie in Dancing at Lughnasa. Kate also appeared in Howard Barker's new play The Fence at York Theatre Royal
